MISSIONS & MINISTRY UPDATE: April 5, 2013
This past April 4 was an amazing day. I attended the youth ministers lunch at CLA Langley from about 12 PM - 2 PM. The food and fellowship was such a blessing from God. In ministry you can become discouraged and disillusioned and today the Lord has been speaking to me so much concerning my calling and the work He has for me here in BC, Canada. We had a special guest speaker from Hillsong New York through "Facetime". We even saw Pastor Carl Lentz for a brief moment. :-) Also Jason Ballard made a great presentation for the Youth Alpha Film Series which I plan on using for my youth group in Surrey. I believe this teaching series could potentially transform an entire generation of young people in Canada for Jesus. That's how massive the potential for this project is!
I was greatly ministered to by Brent from Christ College. We were able to chat about my hopes, fears, dreams, and about where God has me in this season of life and where I'm going in the next. It was really a divine appointment. I realized today that since Jesus is my Shepherd and I His sheep, I will always be protected, provided for, and taken care of. I have no need to fear for the Lord is with me! It's simple but it takes a revelation in the spirit to really be transformed by God's truth. I am so thankful that my Heavenly Father knows exactly what I need and sends the right people to speak into my life. Today I was greatly encouraged by Brent Weick, Ben Johnson, and Clark Moran. They really spoke into my life and encouraged my soul with their appreciation for me and the work the Lord is doing through me. I am so thankful for the community that God has brought me into and blessed me with. Ben was really stunned to hear that I am a missionary from the Philippines to Canada. He loved it! So it was a good stunned. :-P I plan on bringing my youth group to Historymaker this year also. I am believing that great fruit will come from this year's conference.
This Friday night the Fusion Youth group will be going to Metro Town Mall to play Man Hunt and then we will be hanging out at McDonalds. The guys and girls will be divided up and we will have a short devotional. We will be talking about "Dating, Mating, and Relating". I've got two questions in mind to start discussion, It's gonna be good! I will be preaching two sermons this April 12 & 19 on Dating, Sex, and Jesus. Please keep me in your prayers friends.
I didn't move to Canada as a missionary from the Philippines to become rich or famous. I came to preach Christ and Him crucified! I came to preach the Word of Christ, teach the Bible, and disciple young people for the glory of God. It's time for the sons of God who have been called to be elders/overseers in the Church to disciple this next generation with a fearless spirit and a heart full of courage.
