MISSIONS & MINISTRY UPDATE: MARCH 17, 2013

The last 48 hours have been full of God's grace and power. I've seen God working in amazing ways in and around me. On Friday morning I went in to work at Surrey Christian Life Assembly and met with the Lord in praise & worship, I then later received an email message from a friend of mine that has been greatly needing a touch of healing and restoration in her life. She told me that the Lord has been answering my prayers for her! Praise God! YAHWEH binds up and heals the broken hearted and sets the captives free. That message was such a blessing to me, it helped make my day. After lunch I was blessed to join the last class for the book "Spirit Wars" by Kris Vallotton that many Church members of SCLA are going through and then I did visitation for Kids Club with Jacqueline in the cold and rain but it was ok because we got Tim Horton's afterward. :-P At 5 PM I met up with a college student who sold me his used iPod Touch 4G 32 GB from craigslist, I really needed to buy a new one for personal & ministry use. You might see me post some photos straight to Twitter or Facebook from it in the future, stay tuned. In the evening for Fusion Youth I went with Kimberly & Jacqueline to pick up some of our students for the movie night. We stopped to get some snacks, picked up our 8-12th graders who wanted to come then went to the program center. I shared a short message, we had praise & worship, I shared again, and then we watched the movie "Wretch It Ralph". It was a fun, relaxing, and productive evening. Last but not least I was so incredibly blessed to visit with another friend of mine that night whom I consider to be like a sister. The last time I saw her was December, 2010! She interviewed me about my missions work and I talked about what Christian culture is supposed to look like inside and outside the Church. She will be featuring my interview on her radio station.

Yesterday, Saturday, March 16, 2013 I traveled with Pastor Mike to pick up a new friend, Brando. He volunteered to help me with visual props and aides during my sermon for ConnXion in the evening. We all traveled to a park to then inflate the Metro Kids Tent to take some press photos. We call it the Metro Squid because it's four long legs make it look like a giant squid! :-P Later, when we arrived at the program center I led a short Bible study on 1 John 4:7-21 with a lot of the ConnXion youth and then we prayed for the service and for each other. It was really powerful and I felt the presence of the Holy Spirit with us. I was so blessed to see so many kids with us, the room was packed! The theme of the ConnXion service was "Medieval Night", so I preached on the Armor of God (Eph. 6:10-18) and Brando brought with him a full collection of armor that he wore on stage as I preached the Word of God. He brought chain mail, a viking shield, a Greek helmet, a practice Norman sword, and a replica of "Sting" from LOTR. It was really cool and the young people really liked it! There were photos taken and some video so I hope to share that with you all soon.  

I will be preaching again at ConnXion (Grades 5-8) this April 6. I also will be teaching the youth of SCLA the Word of God from The Gospel of John verse by verse till the end of the book throughout the year. I will be teaching the Youth Sunday School Class this March 17 on John 1:29-51.
