“Without TRUTH there is only manipulation” - Os Guinness (Christian philosopher, author, and social critic)
Called By the LORD To Canada
The time has come. A major shift in God’s plan for my life is at hand. The truth is that the Philippines is not the needy mission field that so many people in the western world think it is anymore. Ever since the end of World War Two (67 Years ago), Evangelical Protestant Christian missionaries have been active in the Philippines. I know, because I’ve lived here for about 80% of my life within a missionary environment and the truth is that in addition to the 10/40 window region the new mission field of the 21st Century is the western world. The times have changed and the Philippines is now a missionary sending nation. My nation of Canada is in dire straits. God’s calling on my life from when I was a young teenager in high school was never to primarily reach the Filipino people, even though that is of vital importance. God’s calling on my life has always been to be a youth pastor, Bible teacher, and evangelist in the neediest & darkest places in the west. No generation in history has ever been more manipulated than my generation that lives today. Post-Christian & Post-Modern worldviews have taken an entire generation captive. This is a technology & media-drenched time in history where the truth claims of the world captivate the minds of teenagers and they lack the discernment and truth of God’s Word to fend off the lies. My heart’s desire is to complete the great commission that Jesus gave His Church (Matt. 28:18-20). There are two primary targets that the Lord has laid upon my soul going back to 2008. 1: The pre-teens, teenagers, and young adults of my generation. 2: The teenagers and young adults within the Warped Tour and Alternative Press magazine music scene community. I would like to share with you the next step in my journey.

An Opened Door Through Surrey Christian Life Assembly
During the summer of 2010, in between my semesters studying at Christ College, I was hired by Metro Kids Society to serve within Surrey Christian Life Assembly reaching out to at-risk children, pre-teens, and teenagers in the Surrey & Langley areas with the gospel of grace. I was so blessed by God throughout that whole experience serving others. Now after serving in the Philippines for two years as a missionary with Go To Nations and Church 153, the Lord has opened the door for me to return to British Columbia, Canada to serve with Metro Kids Society again. This is a permanent move for me. I will fly on a one-way ticket and relocate for missionary service teaching the Bible and preaching the gospel of grace to the British Columbian young people. My plan and intention is to fly to the city of Vancouver after my birthday on January 12, 2013. I will be living with Pastor Mike Brownlee’s family when I arrive and will be primarily working with the pre-teens and teenagers. In addition to this I will be serving in any other area of need within the church that Pastors Graham Hanson & Mike Brownlee assign me to take care of. According to a study done by Pastor Mike in 2006 concerning the spiritual climate in British Columbia he discovered the following; “50% of the population of Vancouver profess some sort of Christian religion (19% Catholic, 25% Protestant, 1% Orthodox, and 5% other Christian). This is the lowest rate of Christian affiliation in the country. In a similar vein, Vancouver also has the highest population in Western Canada to indicate ‘No religious affiliation’. A ratio of 35% makes Vancouver more atheist and agnostic than it is Protestant or Catholic.” There is a battle waging in British Columbia, Canada between God’s truth and the lies of the world, the flesh, and the devil. The Roman Catholic Church has denied justification by faith alone since the Council of Trent (1547) and thus preaches a false gospel. Works righteousness bypasses the finished work of Jesus and offers no assurance of salvation. Now that I will be a missionary in Canada soon, one of my goals is to bring the true gospel of grace to those who need reconciliation with God. (Rom. 4:4-17, 5:1; Gal. 2:16, 5:4; Eph. 2:8–9)

Pastor Graham is the senior pastor that I will be serving under as of this January 2013. My friends, would you please partner with me in prayer as I fulfill the calling and plans that the Lord has on my life? Would you also please prayerfully consider partnering with me financially? At the present time my goal is to raise $500 of monthly support. I will be receiving a small pay check monthly from Metro Kids for my full-time work but I still need more funds to cover the many living expenses that I will have. I believe that where God guides He provides so I am stepping out in faith, taking action to inform and invite you in how you can partner with me as I travel to British Columbia, Canada. Information on how you can financially partner with me can be found on the last page of this newsletter. Now, the rest of this newsletter will detail the mission work that I have been doing since June of 2012 here in Davao City.
Canadian Fire Mission Team Visits Davao City
From August 3-7, 2012 my family was blessed to host a special mission team from Saskatoon, SK, Canada. The Mayer family (6 team members) from City Centre Church came to share the gospel through proclamation and drama. Some of the outreach events that happened included children’s ministry, campus evangelism, and a massive youth rally at one of the local malls. I did a lot of driving, transporting our guests to wherever they needed to be. It was a great experience and many people were touched by the love of Jesus and the person of the Holy Spirit. On the last page of this newsletter I have a link to my online ministry photo album. You will be able to view more photos from this missions team and other events that have been happening here in Davao City.

Focus on the Family’s “The Truth Project”
The Truth Project is a DVD-based small group curriculum designed to build a systematic and comprehensive Biblical worldview in the lives of believers. Each lesson looks at life from a Biblical perspective, studying the very nature and character of God and how He has revealed Himself to us. On Sept. 30, nine students from batch three graduated from The Truth Project worldview course. I am very excited to see how God will use all the graduates in completing the great commission. Through this study they are now equipped to minister God’s Word more effectively to others in love. John 8:31-32: 31 So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, 32and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

104.3 FM - The Edge Radio Davao
I have been blessed to produce a radio talk show called “Walk the Talk”. Recently, I have been teaching through the book of “Colossians” and about the doctrinal differences between The Roman Catholic Church & Evangelical Protestant Church; this is a very important topic of study because Roman Catholicism has greatly influenced the Philippines for over 400 years! The station has also been blessed by gaining a new station manager, Mr. Jerome Bringas. He is wearing the red shirt in the photo below. There are many improvements and places of growth that the staff and station are working through. Thank you for your support and prayers.

Preaching at Faith Worship Center
& Church 153: Young Adults Ministry
On October 14 I was privileged to be the Sunday morning guest speaker at Faith Worship Center Church (Church of God) here in Davao City. My message was titled; “Pursuing God: Worshiping & Knowing Jesus Above All Things!” That Sunday was a special youth service and I was able to pray a blessing over the young people who felt called by God into five-fold ministry positions. Near the end of the service I got a “Word of Knowledge” from the Holy Spirit that one of the young men in the church was to be a full time missionary to Vietnam. I look forward to hearing an update on God’s work in and through Faith Worship Center in the future. There were many young people there that are loved and called of God the Father. Within Church 153 I have been teaching the young adults answers to this question; “What is the gospel?” in a teaching series. We have examined the person and finished work of Christ & justification by faith alone.

THANK YOU for being my friends, praying for me, and giving financially.
More fruit will come the rest of this year & next year also. Right now I need to recruit monthly giving partners to help me cover the expenses of being a missionary. My total need is $500.00/month, so I’m asking you to prayerfully consider partnering with me so that together, we can do our part in fulfilling the Great Commission. I’m believing for one partner to give $100/month, four to give $50/month, and eight to give $25/month & the need will be met!
God will reward you as you partner with me. Together we are changing lives for eternity.
Peace of Christ to you forevermore…
